The 1930 Battle for Control of the Quebec Legislature
An Historical Documentary of the Jewish Schools Affair
The Battle for Control in 1930 is an existential battle which the Constitution of 1867 was enacted to foreclose. If you don’t understand why the Constitution was designed and established in 1867, you’ll never understand why Adrien Arcand, the Quebec state, the Catholic Church and other Christian denominations were right in 1930, and the Jews were wrong. If there were “clouds in the 30s”, they were the clouds over the French Canadians and the other founding peoples of Canada, attacked on their own soil to deprive them of their right to self-government as a Christian people.
The purpose of a Constitution is found in its language, in its structure, and in the history of its establishment. The Constitution of 1867 was designed to guarantee the continued existence of each of the founding ethnic majorities under local Legislatures on subject matters of law relevant to permanent self-preservation, ethnically and culturally. The British North America Act, 1867 creates not a federal state, not a fully centralized unity, but a quasi-federal multi-ethnic state with shared central powers, the number of ethnic majorities not to exceed the number of provinces and territories. So, we’re looking at about ten to twelve ethnic majorities who have a right to exist in this country, and to use the national and local constitutions incorporated in the British North America Act, 1867 to achieve it.
